AGUILAR, Pangasinan – Authorities destroyed marijuana plants worth P2.5 million in an eradication operation here on Maundy Thursday.
Uprooted were more or less 12,600 fully grown marijuana plants from three plantations with a total land area of 2,100-square meters.
Also found was 250 grams of marijuana seeds worth P6,250.
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Ilocos Regional Director Joel Plaza said these marijuana plants were uprooted and burned on-site.
Two days earlier, on March 26, 19,500 fully-grown marijuana plants valued at P3.8 million were seized and destroyed in an eradication operation here.
