When Jeric Raval's name was proposed as one of the actors to portray Mayor Marcos Mamay in his biopic, 'Mamay: The Great Man of Nunungan,' Mayor Mamay didn't hesitate for a moment.

"Nasa top ng list si Jeric. Needless to say, he was the perfect choice. Marami tayong mahuhusay na aktor. Marami tayong pagpipilian, we all unanimously agreed that Jeric was the right actor for the movie," shared Mayor Mamay. He simply smiled when asked about the other actors considered for the role.

Mayor Mamay also personally selected Ara Mina to portray the role of his wife. "Paborito din siya ni Misis. But beyond that, Ara is undeniably one of our finest actresses. Nakipag-bonding din muna siya kay Misis to study yung nuisances niya," he explained.

Teejay Marquez takes on the role of portraying the young Mayor Mamay. "It was challenging to depict my younger self, kase walang paggagayahan si Teejay. We had discussions, and I shared with him what I was like when I was young. With the direction of Direk Neal (Tan), Teejay perfectly captured it," shared the honorable mayor.

Mayor Mamay led the film crew on a tour of his hometown, visiting key locations relevant to the movie to capture its essence. The production team also enjoyed a lively and enjoyable shoot during their time there.
