Retired airman shot dead in Lucena City

LUCENA CITY, Quezon – A retired Philippine Air Force second lieutenant was shot dead in his house in Barangay Domoit, this city, on Tuesday night, March 27.

Police identified the victim as Jesus Grafia Gerola, 68.

Investigation said a neighbor, Jyricson Rojo Veran, heard the suspect and neighbor Edwin, self-employed, shouting, “Ilabas ninyo ang amo ninyo” (Bring out your master), followed by a gunshot.

Veran went to the house of Gerola on Wednesday morning and found the victim sprawled on the floor with a bullet wound.

Police are pursuing the suspect and conducting follow-up investigation. Suspect faces a murder case.
