Former basketball star Marc Pingris took to social media to issue a statement on rumors linking him to actress Kim Rodriguez.

"Walang katotohanan ang mga lumalabas na balita tungkol sa amin ni Ms. Kim Rodriguez.

"Walang namamagitan sa aming dalawa gaya ng sinasabi ng ibang tao. Nakasama ko po si Ms. Kim sa isang basketball event at sa isa pang event noong naging muse siya ng team namin.

"Salamat din sa nag pa abot ng concern. Ok kami ng pamilya ko. Wag na po tayo magpakalat ng mga balita na hindi totoo.

"Humihingi po kami ng respeto para hindi madamay ang mga anak namin ni Danica. Salamat po at God bless po."

Danica is the daughter of Vic Sotto and Dina Bonnevie. In May 2021, Marc announced his retirement from basketball after 16 years of playing with the Philippine Basketball Association. Danica and Marc have three children.
