With the Paris Olympics now on her sights, Nesthy Petecio believes that consistency will bring her to a greater height after winning the silver medal in the Tokyo edition three years ago.

“Sa totoo lang sobrang hirap i-maintain, pero lagi dapat ‘yong consistency sa sarili ‘yan ‘yong lagi kong gustong manatili sa akin,” Petecio said while watching fellow Paris-bound boxer Eumir Marcial in his homecoming bout at Ninoy Aquino Stadium last Saturday, March 23.
Petecio got a clear shot of winning the gold medal in Tokyo but faced Japan's Sena Irie who won through the scorecards in the women's featherweight finals.
Since then, the Davao pride vowed to give it another try and rule her event in the French capital.
In the next few months, Petecio will participate in the national team training in Colorado, US to further sharpen her skills.
