2 teenaged boys drown on Cagayan River

SOLANA, Cagayan – Two teenaged boys drowned on the Cagayan River in Barangay Natappian here on Wednesday, March 27.

Police identified the victims as David Caasi and Aldrin Mabborang, both 14-years-old.

Investigation said the victims and their two friends decided to cross the Cagayan River on their way home after taking a bath on the river.

However, the victims drowned due to the strong river current.

Mark and John, friends of the victims, reported the incident to the police.

Authorities looked for the victims found their bodies one after the other on Maundy Thursday.

The bodies of the victims have been turned over to their families.
