ILOILO CITY – The Police Regional Office-6 has deployed 3,100 policemen to secure Western Visayas this Holy Week.

Majority of law enforcers were deployed to resorts, recreational parks, and tourist destinations in Aklan, Antique, Capiz, Guimaras, Iloilo, and Negros Occidental as well as Iloilo and Bacolod cities.
Six-hundred fifty policemen were deployed to bus terminals, malls, and other establishments; 622 to churches; 302 on national highways and main roads augmented by 18 from the Philippine National Police-Highway Patrol Group; 187 in pilgrimage areas; 153 from the PNP Aviation Security Group reinforced by 40 local policemen in airports in the region, 75 from the PNP Maritime Group and 85 local policemen for seaports; 36 in monasteries and places under construction, and 194 from the Reactionary Standby Support Force (RSSF).
Police Major Mary Grace Borio, PRO-6 spokesperson, said they are augmented by other law enforcement agencies.
