PRO 4-A taps 18,135 security personnel to secure Holy Week

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna – The Police Regional Office 4-A has deployed 18,135 security personnel to safeguard the Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon area or the Calabarzon region during the Holy Week and “summer” vacation.

PRO4-A Director Police Brig. Gen. Paul Kenneth Lucas said 7,382 are from PRO 4-A, 802 from augmenting units, and 9,951 from advocacy groups.

The joint effort seeks to enhance vigilance, maintain peace, and prevent potential security threats throughout the region during this period, Lucas said.

They are  strategically stationed in critical areas such as tourist destinations, transportation hubs, religious sites, and residential neighborhoods to deter criminal activities and promptly respond  to any incidents.

"The safety of our citizens and visitors are our top priorities, especially during significant occasions like Holy Week and summer vacation. Through the concerted efforts of the PNP, other government agencies, and our community partners, we aim to create a secure environment where everyone can enjoy the festivities with peace of mind,” Lucas added.

Lucas encouraged the people to cooperate with authorities by remaining vigilant and reporting any suspicious activities to the nearest police station or through the designated hotlines and police assistance desks.
