PAGASA advises public to drink plenty of water as hot weather persists
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Wednesday, March 27 advised the public to stay hydrated as hot weather is expected to persist, particularly around noon.

As of 4 a.m., PAGASA weather specialist Obet Badrina said the easterlies or the warm winds from the Pacific Ocean remain the dominant weather system, which could bring hot weather as well as rain showers and thunderstorms to parts of the country.
“Malaki iyong tyansa ng pag-uulan partikular na sa silangang bahagi ng Luzon. Sa nalalabing bahagi naman ng ating bansa, mga isolated rain showers and thunderstorms ang mararanasan, mainam magdala ng tubig kasi inaasahan natin medyo mainit na tanghali ang sasalubong sa atin (There were high chance of rains particularly in the east portion of Luzon. In the rest of the country, isolated rain showers and thunderstorms will be experienced, it is better to bring water, as we expect hot weather at noon time),” Badrina said.
PAGASA said Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Aurora, Quezon, and Camarines Norte will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the easterlies.
It warned the public of flash floods or landslides during moderate to heavy rainfall.
In Metro Manila and the rest of the country, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms will also be felt due to the easterlies and localized thunderstorms.
PAGASA also warned the public of flash floods or landslides that may occur during severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, based on the PAGASA’s extended weather outlook from March 28 to 30, the actual air temperatures in some key areas are 24–34°C in Metro Manila, 24-32° in Legazpi City, 16–27°C in Baguio City, 25–32°C in Metro Cebu, 26–32°C in Iloilo City, 25–33°C in Tacloban City, 25–34°C in Metro Davao, 23–35°C in Zamboanga City, and 24–32°C in Cagayan de Oro City.
