Good Friday liquor ban imposed in E.B. Magalona, Negros Occidental
BACOLOD CITY – The municipality of E.B. Magalona in Negros Occidental will impose a 24-hour liquor ban on Good Friday, March 29.

Mayor Marvin Malacon has issued Executive Order No. 31, Series of 2024, imposing the prohibition.
Under the order, selling of liquor and other alcoholic beverages are prohibited.
This, Malacon said, is to ensure that no untoward incidents will happen and maintain peace and order in the town.
Police Capt. Markelly Laganipa, deputy chief of the E.B. Magalona Municipal Police Station, said that they will conduct information drive to inform the public especially store owners about the order.
Laganipa said that they will also conduct patrols to ensure that no drinking sessions will take place in public places.
