Global logistics and shipping firm DHL Express (Philippines) Corp. has earned the top rank of "Great Place to Work" in 2024 for the fifth consecutive year.
The firm clinched the award for the Medium category, referring to companies with 100 to 999 employees, during the Great Place to Work (GPTW) Philippines awarding ceremony on March 19 in Taguig City.
The award was bestowed on DHL Express in recognition of employees' satisfaction in its programs for workers, aside from its expertise in delivery services around the country and the world.
Recieving the commendation on behalf of the company, DHL Country Manager Nigel Lockett said they continue to find ways to retain employees and make them realize their aspirations, and most importantly, care for their workers' self and well-being.
"We monitor that every year with our Employee Opinion Surveys. We're so very proud to say our engagement scores are now at 99 percent. Our teamwork is at 98 percent with 930 employees," he shared.
He emphasized that the present challenge is leveling up to 100 percent, through regular workshops and listening to their employees.
The company has an equation to measure their success -- P = GQ, which stands for "People equal growth through quality."
"It's our people that start everything in DHL Express. If we don't have great people, there's no way we can give that great service that you enjoy from DHL Express," he said.
"We have a new equation now. Great Place to Work plus Great Collegues equal Employee Engagement. All of our 930 employees are our Great Colleagues," he added.
Even back in GPTW's Global Employee Engagement Study in 2019, DHL Express already had 99 percent of employees who say the company is a great place to work in, compared to 53 percent of employees at a typical global company.
Great Place to Work Philippines is the local group implementing the global Great Places to Work initiative that recognizes businesses and companies operating in the country that have been evaluated as optimal workplaces by their employees, colleagues, and peers.
