Cops catch 35 wanted persons in Cordillera

CAMP DANGWA, Benguet â€“ The Police Regional Office-Cordillera caught 35 wanted individuals from March 17 to 23.

The Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division said the Baguio City Police Office arrested 20 wanted persons, followed by the Benguet Police Provincial Office with six, Kalinga PPO with three, Apayao PPO and Mountain Province PPO with two each, and Abra PPO and Ifugao PPO with one each.

Nine were most wanted persons, four on the provincial level, three on the municipal level, and one each on the city and station levels.

The PRO-Cordillera said 62 municipalities in the region and two police stations in Baguio City were crime-free during the week due to police visibility.

Twenty-five were in Abra, four in Apayao, eight in Benguet, five in Kalinga, and 10 each in Mountain Province and Ifugao.

Out of the 10 police stations in Baguio City, only Stations 5 (Legarda) and 10 (Marcos Highway) were crime-free.
