A sad day for all the apos.
Raymond King announced that he is leaving Lola Amour after eight years of being with the band.
In a statement posted on Lola Amour's Facebook page, Raymond said that the band was just a hobby when they were starting out.
"We've always had other long-term plans for ourselves. And while I'm proud of everything we've achieved, my plans stayed the same. Sadly, the band isn't part of it," he said.
"After 8 years of giving everything I could, I've realized that success, fulfillment, and happiness are different things. Now, I choose to be happy."
According to Raymond, it was not an easy decision to leave the band, but he is grateful for all the support from his bandmates and the Lola Amour team.
"Despite my decision, I'm very grateful for both my time in the band and the whole Lola Amour team. We've reached more than I could have ever dreamed of and I couldn't think of anyone else I would have done it with," Raymond continued.
At the end of his statement, Raymond announced his last performance and Manu Dumayas will be taking over his place as the band's new bassist.
"My last gig will be at our Album Concert on April 13, 2024, at the Circuit Makati Concert Grounds. After then, Manu Dumayas will take over as the band's new bassist : ) I hope to see you there, and thanks for listening for the last 8 years," he added.
Raymond revealed his decision to leave the band during the listening party of their first album, held at the Fun Roof bar in Poblacion, Makati last March 15.
Lola Amour also thanked Raymond for being part of the band.
"Thank you for the last eight years, buddy! You are a huge reason why we are here where we are today. You know we're not a cheesy bunch, but saying that 'we'll miss you' is an understatement. Alam mo na 'yan," the band said on their post.
