The Pasay City government awarded the winners in EMI's shopping bag contest last Monday, March 25, one of the various activities prepared in celebration of Woman’s Month.
Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said the Pasay City Cooperative Development Office launched the EMI’s shopping bag contest.
“This contest is actually a fusion between two causes that are near and dear to our hearts: Combining women's activities with the grand vision of becoming smart and sustainable. Dahil we are also advocating the use of ecobags, mga reusable so we can lessen pollution,” said Rubiano during the awarding of winners.
Named winners in the shopping bag contest were Ritchel P. Aranton of Prime Movers Cooperative, first place; Julie Ann Soriano of Rising Star Transport Service Multi-purpose Cooperative, second place; and Tessie Palma ng Epifanio delos Santos of Elementary School Multi-purpose Cooperative, third place.
Rubiano said the Epifanio delos Santos Multi-purpose Cooperative also won the special award for the Most Functional and Most Durable Bag.
