US lawmakers to Marcos: We share your concern about China's aggression in West Philippine Sea
Lawmakers from the United States have expressed their concern over China's aggression in the West Philippine Sea during their meeting with President Marcos.

The US Congressional delegation paid a courtesy call to the President in Malacañan on Tuesday, March 26, where they stated that they share the same concern on the issues the country is facing.
"We share your concern about China’s aggression with regard to many issues around to the Philippines. We stand with you and we want to continue to stand by you, and with you, and to push that aggression back appropriately," Senator Kirsten Gillibrand said.
This after Marcos hoped they would have a productive time where they are able to discuss further "the situation concerning the Philippines and the geopolitical complications that we are facing presently."
In her remark, Gillibrand reiterated the United States' commitment to remain as the country's ally in various areas.
"We are so grateful for our years of friendship. We’re grateful for the steadfast partnership we had economically. We’re grateful to have you as an ally. Each of those roles is essential for the United States and we hope to continue to play those roles," the lawmaker said.
She also stated that the American government is " very grateful for all the contributions that the Filipino community has made in the United States."
"You’re the forefront of healthcare, you're the forefront of tech, many of your countrymen have served in our armed services. And so, we’re very grateful for all the contributions that Filipino-Americans continue to make throughout the country," Gillibrand said.
"We do believe that we’re in a moment of extraordinary opportunity. Especially for economic ties, to build upon existing strengths. Whether they are in the fields of energy, or in the fields of rare earth minerals, or in the fields of commerce," she added.
The official stressed that "there are important alliances" for the US, adding that they want "to continue to grow on that."
She also added that they intend to build on the recent trip that Secretary Gina Raimondo made in Manila this month.
