Saudi Arabia to debut in Miss Universe 2024 beauty pageant

Make way for Miss Universe Saudi Arabia!

For the first time in the history of the Miss Universe competition, Saudi Arabia will participate in the prestigious pageant.

Rumy Al-Qahtani will represent Saudi Arabia, as she shared the exciting news on Instagram.

"Honored to participate in Miss Universe 2024. This is the first participation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the Miss Universe competition," wrote Rumy in Arabic caption.

Rumy, 27, is a fashion model who previously represented Saudi Arabia in other pageants, including Miss Planet International, Miss Global Asia, and more.
 

The 74th Miss Universe pageant will be held in Mexico later this year. 

Sheynnis Palacios of Nicaragua is the reigning Miss Universe.
