PRO-2 awards 11 outstanding lady police officers

CAMP Marcelo Adduru, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan – Eleven policewomen and two civilian employees regarded as Outstanding PRO-2 Manang Biday were recognized during the Women’s Month celebration in this camp with the theme “Lipunang Patas sa Bagong Pilipinas: Kakayahan ng Kababaihan, Patutunayan” on Monday, March 25.

Guest speaker Dr. Esther Susan N. Perez-Mari, president of the University of Cagayan Valley, thanked the men and women of the Police Regional Office-2 for keeping the Cagayan Valley region peaceful and safe.

Mari recognized the notable contributions of policewomen in law enforcement and public safety in her message.

Awardees were Police Lt. Col. Edith D. Narag, chief, Regional Logistics and Research Development Division, Philippine National Police Efficiency Medal or Medalya ng Kasanayan; Major Arlene M. Javier, assistant chief, Regional Police Strategy Management Unit; Major Baby Rose P. Cajulao, chief, Family Juvenile Gender and Development Section, Regional Community Affairs and Development Division; Major Mary Jane C. Sibbaluca, Regional Human Rights Affairs Officer; Major Imelda M. Velasco, administrative officer, Office of the Regional Director; Major Nova Lyn C. Aggasid, chief of police, Villaverde Police Station; Executive Master Sgt. Marianita C. Angangan, Finance Police Non-Commissioned Officer, Cabatuan Police Station; Chief Master Sgt. Angelica Lozada, Community Affairs and Development PNCO, Tuguegarao Component City Police Station;

Master Sgt. Jenny C. Chillag, Family Juvenile Gender and Development PNCO, Villaverde Police Station; Corporal Karen Joy dela Cruz, Community Affairs and Development PNCO, 2nd Cagayan Provincial Mobile Force Company; and Corporal Marita P. Saddul, Women and Children Protection Development PNCO, Cabarroguis Police Station.

Also feted were Non-Uniformed Personnel Rosean Merz T. Dumangeng, radio operator, Kasibu Police Station, and NUP Janette S. Ordinario, public relations assistant, Quirino Police Provincial Office, who was previously awarded at the PNP national headquarters in Camp Crame, Quezon City.
