PAGASA records 'dangerous' heat indices in 9 areas on March 26
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) recorded “dangerous” heat indices in nine areas in the country on Tuesday, March 26.

The highest heat index recorded on Tuesday was 44°C in Roxas City, Capiz, said PAGASA.
PAGASA also said a heat index of 42°C was felt in Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Pasay City; Puerto Princesa, Palawan; CBSUA-Pili Camarines Sur; and in Cotabato City, Maguindanao.
Meanwhile, a heat index of 43°C was recorded in San Jose, Occidental Mindoro; Masbate City, Masbate; Iloilo City, Iloilo; and Butuan City, Agusan del Norte.
The weather bureau advised the public that heat indices from 42-51°C may cause heat cramps and heat exhaustion, while heat stroke is possible in times of continuing activity.
