P73.4-M shabu, marijuana seized in Cordillera

LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – Police seized shabu and marijuana worth P73.4 million in the Cordillera region from March 18 to 24.

The Police Regional Office Cordillera-Regional Operations Division said three suspected drug pushers were arrested and recovered from them were 5.70 grams of suspected shabu valued at P38,746.40.

The suspects and pieces of evidence are in the custody of apprehending units for documentation and proper disposition.

Suspects face charges for violating Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Lawnen discovered 7,270 fully grown marijuana plants and 600,000 leaves and fruiting tops worth P73.4 million in eradication operations.

These were burned following documentation and follow-up operations are being conducted to find out their cultivators.
