The Department of Social Welfare and Development's (DSWD) disaster management and response teams will be on standby to respond to emergencies during Holy Week.

Disaster Response Management Group (DRMG) Assistant Secretary Irene Dumlao said in a statement on Tuesday, March 26, that by following DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian's directive, all Quick Response Teams (QRTs) are on standby and ready to be dispatched if needed.
The National Resource and Logistics Management Bureau (NRLMB) is putting in a lot of effort to restock food and non-food items for local government units (LGU) when needed, as confirmed by Dumlao.
In addition, she said all communication lines for disaster response teams in the field offices will remain open.
Meanwhile, the DSWD noted P388,547,264.48 in standby funds and 1,214,479 family food packs (FFPs) in strategic locations nationwide.
The department also underscored that it is "closely coordinating" with the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) for "relevant weather" updates and information.
The official also reminded the public to always prioritize their safety during the observance.
"We urge the public to stay safe, remain vigilant, and heighten awareness to avoid emergencies, particularly during the Lenten Season break," Dumlao added.
