Woman drug suspect arrested in Pasay City

Members of the Pasay City Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) arrested a woman drug suspect during the implementation of a search warrant on Monday, March 25.

Col. Mario Mayames, Pasay City police chief, said the suspect identified as alias Rizza,42, was arrested at around 11:00 p.m. at Promise Land compound, Balgbag, Barangay 201, Zone 20, Pasay City.

Mayames said members of the SDEU applied for a search arrant against Rizza who was the subject of complaint in the neighborhood due to her alleged illegal drug activities.

He said the search warrant was issued by Judge Edilwasif Baddiri of Pasay City Regional Trial Court Branch 115 on March 22, 2024.

The city police chief said that during the search, SDEU operatives were able to recover 13 small heat-sealed plastic sachets of shabu weighing 10 grams worth P68,000.

Mayames said aside from shabu, the operatives also confiscated one black coin purse and six pieces of P500 bill.

He said the suspect was charged with possession of illegal drugs and is now detained at the SDEU custodial facility.
