The Parañaque City government conducted an information caravan that aims to promote urban agriculture in the city on Tuesday, March 26.
Parañaque city Mayor Eric Olivarez said the caravan was held at the United Parañaque Subdivision (UPS) 5 multi- purpose gym in Barangay San Isidro.
Olivarez said the caravan, a program of the Department of Agriculture (DA) in coordination with the city government, can help ensure the food security of every family in the city.
He said in promoting urban agriculture in the city, each barangay has Food Always in the Home (FAITH) garden in the backyard where residents can plant vegetables and fruits.
The mayor said free seedlings were also distributed to the participants of the caravan.
