Las Piñas LGU opens job fair in celebration of 27th cityhood anniversary

The Las Piñas City government conducted a job fair on Monday, March 25, one of the various services prepared in celebration of the 27^th cityhood anniversary.

The job fair was organized by the Public Employment Services Office (PESO) to help job seekers connect with employers.

According to Las Piñas Mayor Imelda Aguilar, the job fair was held at the second floor of SM Center Las Piñas from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., which was particiated by 23 companies.

Aguilar said 449 applicants went to the job fair and 68 job seekers were hired on the spot.

She said Vice-Mayor April Aguilar attended the event, underscoring the local government’s commitment to providing more employment opportunities for its residents.

The mayor said the initiative is part of a broader effort of the city government to foster a dynamic local economy and to assists citizens in finding employment.
