BACOLOD CITY – Seven-hundred ninety-two policemen here and Negros Occidental were promoted on Monday, March 25.

The Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (Nocppo) had 595 promotees who were all police non-commissioned officers (PNCOs).
Thirty were executive master sergeants, 96 chief master sergeants, 87 senior master sergeants, 82 master sergeants, 206 staff sergeants, and 94 corporals.
One-hundred ninety-seven police officers, including nine police commissioned officers (PCOs), were from the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO).
BCPO promotees were 23 corporals, 33 staff sergeants, 48 master sergeants, 38 senior master sergeants, 23 chief master sergeants, 23 executive master sergeants, and nine lieutenants.
In his message, Police Col. Rainerio de Chavez, Negros Occidental police chief, lauded the promotees during the donning of ranks ceremony at the Nocppo headquarters in Barangay Estefania here.
Police Lt. Col. Ronnie Brillo, administrative officer for the office of the city director of the BCPO, said that that the newly promoted lieutenants will be assigned to police stations as deputy station commanders.
Police Col. Noel Aliño, Bacolod City police director, congratulated them for the significant milestone in their career that symbolizes their hard work, dedication, and commitment in upholding the values of law enforcement.
