Global sustainable infrastructure firm Acciona has launched the "Take Care of the Water" campaign, a new initiative aimed at educating children about the importance of water conservation.
Partnering with PAREF Southridge and PAREF Woodrose schools, the campaign provides children aged seven to ten with water kits containing essential tools such as a backpack, sustainable waterdrop, informative leaflets, and engaging posters.
Through interactive activities, students are learning about water-saving practices and creative methods for water reuse, empowering them to become responsible stewards of this vital resource.
"We believe that educating the younger generation about water conservation is pivotal to securing a sustainable future," said Samantha Betia, Head of Marketing Southeast Asia at Acciona.
"Through the 'Take Care of the Water' campaign, we aim to instill the importance of water conservation in children and empower them to take meaningful action,” she explained.
Acciona's latest campaign coincides with the recent celebration of World Water Day 2024 by Manila Water and its affiliated companies.

The Razon-led company took part in various events emphasizing the significance of cooperation and collaboration in ensuring universal access to water.
In line with this year's World Water Day theme, "Water For Peace," designated by the United Nations, the focus was on how water fosters peace among communities and how collaborative efforts in water management can lead to a ripple effect of positive outcomes, including harmony, prosperity, and resilience to shared challenges.
Leading up to World Water Day, Manila Water, Manila Water Foundation, the National Water Resources Board (NWRB), Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) River Basin Control Office (RBCO), and the World Water Day Philippines Interagency Committee organized an exhibition showcasing water security programs at Quezon City Hall last week.
The exhibit highlighted commendable city-wide initiatives of Quezon City and the QC Climate Change and Environmental Sustainability Department.
During the event, the Manila Water Foundation and the World Water Day Philippines Interagency Committee honored Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte as a Water Champion for her dedication to water-related initiatives.
