PAGASA said a heat index of 42°C was felt in PAGASA Science Garden in Quezon City, in Dagupan, Pangasinan, and in Cotabato City, Maguindanao.

Meanwhile, a heat index of 43°C was recorded in Zamboanga City, Zamboanga del Sur and in Davao City, Davao del Sur.

PAGASA said heat indices ranging from 42-51°C may result to heat cramps and heat exhaustion, while heat stroke is also probable in times of continuous activity.

PAGASA advised the public to drink plenty of water and to avoid going outside if not necessary to protect oneself from the adverse effects of heat.
