NKTI announces closure of outpatient care areas for Holy Week
In preparation for the upcoming Holy Week, the National Kidney and Transplant Institute (NKTI) declared on Monday, March 25, the temporary closure of several outpatient care areas from March 28 to March 29.

The areas that will be closed include PD Baxter, Outpatient Services, Medical Social Services, Pharmacy, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Cardiovascular Catheterization, Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, Non-invasive Cardiovascular, iVasc, and Ambulatory Infusion Therapy.
The NKTI noted that regular operations will resume on April 1.
However, the laboratory, except for Covid-19 RT-PCR testing and the pulmonary section, will maintain regular operating hours during the closure dates.
It stressed that the closure is part of the institute's efforts to observe the solemnity of the occasion and allow its staff to participate in religious observances.
On the other hand, NKTI advised the public regarding Covid-19 testing services during the Holy Week period.
It emphasized that the institute will only accept GeneXpert requests and will not conduct RT-PCR testing on the following dates: March 28, March 29, March 30, and March 31.
NKTI added that RT-PCR testing services will resume on April 1.
The institute extends its gratitude for the understanding and cooperation of the public during this time as it strives to provide quality care while respecting the observance of Holy Week traditions.
