Manila Civil Registry Office uploads all records into digital system

Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna-Pangan congratulated the Manila City Civil Registry Office (MCCRO) headed by Encar Ocampo for successfully undertaking the digitization of its records from 2019 to the present.
The mayor also announced plans to do the same for records 2019 backward, saying the process aims to make searching for records easier and faster.
The MCCRO keeps various records, including birth, death, and marriage certificates.
Ocampo said that also in the custody of their office are court decrees regarding annulment, adoption, legitimation, correction of entries, acknowledgment, pre-nuptial, and oaths of allegiance.
According to Lacuna-Pangan, once the documents are verified in the MCCRO, the clients can get a certified true copy (CTC) of the record they need right away.
Clients whose documents are registered in the digital system can contact MCCRO for a copy.
In this way, the city government said the clients will no longer need to line up in the city hall to schedule the release of the documents they need.
Ocampo said that those whose records have not been entered into the digitized system need to wait for processing.
She assured the mayor that digitization of the records earlier than 2019 is still ongoing.
Ocampo said that digitized records have already been scanned and indexed for easy retrieval.
