Over P2.7-M shabu seized in Bulacan buy-busts; 'Drug Queen', 7 others nabbed
Police seized over P2.7-million shabu and arrested eight individuals, including a drug personality known as alias “Drug Queen”, during a series of entrapment operations in the province of Bulacan on Sunday, March 24.
Col. Relly B. Arnedo, Bulacan police director, said two drug suspects identified as alias "Laine/Drug Queen” and one "Cherry" were arrested in a buy-bust operation in Sitio Sampalukan, Barangay Calvario, Meycauayan City.
Police said Laine and Cherry were collared by undercover anti-narcotics operatives after engaging in a drug deal.
Seized from the suspects were six sachets of suspected shabu weighing 402 grams worth P2,733,600.
Six more drug offenders were arrested in separate drug stings launched by the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of Balagtas and City of San Jose Del Monte (CSJDM) Police.
Confiscated during the operations were 16 small sachets of suspected shabu worth around P37,400, and marked money.
The arrested suspects and the confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the Bulacan Provincial Forensic Unit (PFU) for examination.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 (The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) will be filed against the suspects, police said.
