Surigao del Norte 2nd district Rep. Robert Ace Barbers didn't mince words about what he thought of the Filipinos who had allegedly facilitated the entry of at least 36 Chinese nationals into the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), of all agencies.
(During the Japanese occupation of the Philippines, we had the Makapili. Today, we seem to have the New Makapili that serves China’s interest in our country.)
(It's about time that we investigate and unmask these conscienceless traitors to the nation.)
The Makabayang Katipunan ng mga Pilipino (Patriotic Association of Filipinos), better known as the Makapili, was a group of Filipino traitors formed during World War II to collaborate and provide aid to the invading Imperial Japanese Army forces in the Philippines.
During a House Committee on Transportation last March 20, it was learned that the PCG had delisted 36 Chinese nationals from its auxiliary force since last December. Before they were kicked out, they were able to operate within the PCG for two to three years.
“The Chinese nationals are with the PCGA for more or less three years. Did the PCG conduct due diligence on these nationals? Obviously, there’s none. As Admiral [Ronnie Gil] Gavan has admitted, some 36 were axed because they failed to secure national security clearance. We also do not know if those Chinese nationals are officials from the China People’s Liberation Army, businessmen, or tourists out to justify their longer stay here in our country,” Barbers said.
Barbers said he even obtained raw reports in the past that the Chinese PCG auxiliary members are being tagged along by some senior PCG officials whenever they conduct routine and official patrol missions at the West Philippine Sea (WPS).
(In their three years at the PCG, chances are they've tapped spies from the Chinese military and learned all our strategies, missions and objectives, communication gadgets, and duties and functions of all PCG officials, among other things.)
(If you think about it, these actions in the PCG constitute utter shamelessness and must be dealt with through law.)
