Mayor Honey directs barangay leaders to update lists of PWDs, senior citizens, family heads

Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna-Pangan directed all leaders of the barangays in Manila to update their lists of senior citizens, persons with disability, and heads of families as well.

She also urged the concerned sectors and the residents, in general, to help by registering in the barangays.

According to the mayor, the directive aims to ensure that the lists contain accurate information, noting that updated lists will also aid the city government in providing benefits to them.

The updated lists, she said, can also be used by the local government to ensure that its social amelioration program (SAP) covers all those who are duly qualified.

The city government regularly provides monthly financial assistance to senior citizens, solo parents, PWDs, and university students to assist them in their regular needs and the updating process, she stressed, also aimed to include those who have just turned senior citizens, solo parents, and PWDs.
