BACOLOD CITY – Police arrested a 45-year-old gunrunner in an entrapment operation in Barangay Orong, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental on Saturday, March 23.

Police Lt. Col. Roberto Indiape Jr., Kabankalan police chief, said the suspect, Negro, was arrested after he sold a .38 caliber revolver to a police poseur-buyer for P2,500.
Further search on the suspect yielded 35 grams of suspected shabu worth P238,000, Indiape said.
Also recovered from the suspect were four live ammunition and a glass tooter.
Indiape said the suspect is from Luzon but had been staying with relatives of his live-in partner in Negros Occidental.
He said they had been monitoring the suspect since January after receiving information about his illegal activities.
The suspect had been arrested for robbery and drug offense but may have posted bail, had served his sentence, and availed of a plea-bargaining agreement, Indiape said.
