The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) invited the public to turn off lights from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 23 as a cooperation towards “sustainable living.”

KPhivolcs said it takes part in creating a noteworthy effect and in standing up for the planet’s future.
“Together, let us illuminate our world with our positive and united actions for sustainable living,” it said.
With the theme, “Switch Off Plastic Pollution, Given an Hour for Earth,” Earth Hour 2024 seeks to face the difficulties brought by nature loss and climate change, Phivolcs said.
“Switch off plastic pollution, give an hour for Earth,” Phivolcs added.
