Two fires hit residential areas in Valenzuela City and Quezon City on March 22 and March 23.
According to the Bureau of Fire and Protection (BFP), the fire in Barangay Mapulang Lupa, Valenzuela City reached the first alarm at 12:12 a.m. Saturday, March 23.
The blaze was raised to the second alarm at 12:20 a.m.
Firefighters put the fire under control at 12:52 a.m. and extinguished at 1:10 a.m.
Prior to the Valenzuela fire, a residential area in Barangay Pinyahan, Quezon City was also hit by a blaze on Friday night, March 22.
BFP said the fire started at 11 p.m. and escalated to second alarm by 11:08 p.m.
The blaze was placed under control at 11:51 p.m. and extinguished at 12:43 a.m. on March 23.
Authorities have yet to determine the cause of the two fires.
