3 men facing criminal cases arrested in Las Piñas City

Police arrested a three men who are facing cases of rape, sexual abuse and carnapping in a series of manhunt operations in Las Piñas City on Friday, March 22.

The Southern Police District (SPD) said the suspects, identified as alias Vince,19; Mark Jayson de Mesa, 30; and alias Win, 32, were nabbed by operatives of Las City Pinas Police Warrant and Subpoena Section and Station Intelligence Section.

The SPD said Vince, who was charged with rape, tagged as the Top 5 wanted person for the month of March, was arrested at around 2:30 p.m. in Barangay Pamplona Tres, Las Piñas City.

Vince was the subject of an arrest warrant issued by Judge Mildred Jacinto Marquez of Las Piñas City Family Court Branch 2 on February 26, 2024, with no recommended bail.

Meanwhile, De Mesa, tagged as the Top 8 wanted person under district level, was apprehended at around 3:30 p.m. in Barangay Talon Tres, Las Piñas.

He was nabbed by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Marquez for acts of lasciviousness and sexual abuse, with a recommended bail of  P800,000.

The third suspect, Win, listed as the Top 6 wanted person for the month March for a carnapping case, was arrested at around 4:40 p.m. in Barangay CAA, Las Piñas City.

He was nabbed on the strength of a warrant issued by Judge Phoeve Castillo Meer of Las Piñas Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 275 with a recommended bail of P300,000.

The arrested suspects are now detained at the Las Piñas police custodial facility pending legal proceedings and issuance of the commitment order.
