Dump truck rams into driver of stalled trailer truck in Tondo
A driver who was repairing his trailer truck was killed after a dump truck hit him along Mel Lopez Boulevard in Tondo, Manila on Friday, March 22.

The Manila Police District (MPD) has not yet identified the fatality who was brought to BVL Funeral Home Services.
According to the investigation, the dump truck was traveling along the northward side of Mel Lopez Boulevard at around 2:50 a.m.
Upon reaching JV Paz Street, the dump truck's front portion accidentally hit the back portion of the trailer truck, which was then in a stationary position.
Police said the truck driver was at the back of the trailer and doing troubleshooting when he was hit by the dump truck.

Due to the strong impact, the truck driver was thrown and fell on the ground, causing him severe physical injuries, which resulted in his immediate death.
Meanwhile, the driver and the helper of the dump truck were brought to Gat Andres Hospital for treatment of their injuries caused by the strong impact of the accident.
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) already towed the trailer truck and brought it to the impounding area in Manila.
Authorities said that they are still investigating the incident.
