Romualdez, Tingog Party-list sends 'ayuda' to Oriental Mindoro military, police, scholars

Members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) based in Oriental Mindoro received food and cash assistance worth P600,000 through the joint efforts of House Speaker Martin Romualdez and Tingog Party-list.
During a turnover ceremony, the 402nd Infantry Brigade of the Philippine Army and the Region IV-B Mimaropa Regional Police Office each received P300,000 worth of assistance.
Of the figure, P200,000 was in the form of supplies such as rice, canned goods, and noodles; the remaining P100,000 was cash.
House Deputy Secretary-General Sofonias Gabonada Jr., who represented Romualdez, led the turnover of "ayuda" to the uniformed personnel.
“Ipinaaabot po ni Speaker Romualdez at ng Tingog Party-list ang kanilang taos-pusong pasasalamat sa serbisyong inyong hinahatid para sa pagtatanggol sa ating mga mamamayan,” Gabonada said in his speech.

The Speaker’s office said the aid distribution was meant to recognize the efforts of the members of the AFP and PNP who provided security during the recent Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair (BPSF) held in Oriental Mindoro.
Additionally, 856 scholars from the Training for Work Scholarship (TWS) of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) received P3,000 each in cash assistance.
This grant was coursed through the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS) program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
On top of the cash aid, scholarships worth P15,000 to P25,000 were also granted by TESDA. Each beneficiary also received five kilos of rice.
