A music festival featuring Korean and Filipino pop groups has been changed from a paid to a free event along with the change in the venue from Clark to Manila.
It was earlier announced that the Kwave Music Festival (or the 2024 Badminton Asia Closing Ceremony KWAVE Music Festival) would be held on May 11 at the New Clark City Stadium in Capas, Tarlac with performers K-pop groups The Boyz and Fromis 9, and Filipino pop groups PLUUS and YGIG.

However, there were concerns about the venue.
On March 22, organizers of the event announced that the KWave Music Festival will now be a free event and the venue will now be at the Burnham Green at Rizal Park, Luneta in Manila.
“The KWAVE Music Festival is now FREE ADMISSION for everyone! Dive into a day of unstoppable music and fun under the sun with sensational artists like PLUUS, YGIG, Fromis_9, and THE BOYZ!” the festival posted on X (formerly Twitter).
In addition, those who bought tickets to the event will be given guaranteed seats.
“As we thank you for your interest and understanding for the changes of the 2024 Badminton Asia Closing Ceremony KWAVE Music Festival, we are providing guaranteed seats on the changed venue for those who already purchased the tickets,” the festival added.
Before this, SDG Marketing Korea Co. issued a statement that the venue of the festival would be changed due to concerns about accessibility.

Please accept our sincerest apologies for any disruption this decision may cause in your plans. be assured, this move is made with the sole intention of enhancing the festival experience for every attendee, artist, and staff member involved.
“As a result of this change, we will need to delay our next artist announcement as we coordinate with all parties in getting their consent regarding the change of venue. Se promise to keep you updated every step of the way and will announce the new location and second set of lineups as soon as they are finalized.
“We are incredibly grateful for your understanding and continued support. This bold step reflects our dedication to your satisfaction and our relentless pursuit of excellence.
