BUTUAN CITY – Police arrested 326 violators of local ordinances in the Caraga region on Tuesday, March 19.
“Full enforcement of local ordinances is also part of maintaining peace and order in different parts of this region,” said Police Regional Office 13-Regional Public Information Office chief Police Major Jennifer S. Ometer.

The PRO 13-Regional Operations Division (ROD) said 287 individuals were nabbed for traffic violations, minors violating curfew hours with 33, drinking and smoking in public places with four, and other local ordinances with two.
The Butuan City Police Office (BCPO) collared 87 individuals, Surigao del Sur Police Provincial Office (PPO), 68; Agusan del Norte PPO, 64; Agusan del Sur PPO, 47; Dinagat Islands PPO, 45, and Surigao del Norte PPO, 15.
Police said 238 violators were fined and 88 received warning.
PRO-13 Director Police Brig. Gen. Kirby John B. Kraft said strict implementation of local ordinances is part of public safety.
“The implementation of the city and municipal ordinances is part of our effort to ensure public safety,” he said, adding: “By obeying these regulations, we contribute to the greater good of our community and foster a peaceful environment.”
