Last chance to see a masterpiece: Free entry to Juan Luna exhibit at Ayala Museum this weekend
It features Juan Luna's long-lost artwork, "Hymen, oh Hyménée!"
The Ayala Museum will open its doors for free on March 24, 2024, the final day of the "Splendor: Juan Luna, Painter as Hero" exhibition, featuring his long-lost artwork, "Hymen, oh Hyménée!" If you haven't seen it yet, take the opportunity to visit the museum before it closes.
Before being exhibited at the museum last year, the painting showing an ancient Roman wedding hadn't been seen since it was displayed over 130 years ago at the Universal Exposition of Paris in 1889. It was also referred to as "the holy grail of Philippine art."

Juan Luna's painting "Hymen, oh Hyménée!" was unveiled to special guests at the Ayala Museum on June 9, 2023. It had not been seen in public since its last display in Paris 132 years ago.
Only a few slots remain available for the last day of the Ayala Museum's “Splendor: Juan Luna, Painter as Hero” exhibit. Secure your spot for this final showing by signing up on the museum's website for a one-day free entry.
