Grab rider busted for shabu in Taguig

A Grab rider was arrested and P340,000 worth of shabu was confiscated by the police in a buy-bust operation in Taguig.

The suspect was identified by his alias, Mocki, 33, a Grab rider and listed by the police as a high-value individual (HVI).

The arrest took place beside a waiting shed in Pamayanang Diego Silang, BCDA, Barangay Ususan, Taguig.

The operation was carried out by different police units including the Southern Police District’s Drug Enforcement Unit and Taguig Police’s Substation 4 in Ususan.

During the operation, the police seized a plastic bag containing 50 grams of suspected shabu valued at P340,000, P1,000 bill along with 79 pieces of P1,000 boodle money used as buy-bust money, and one cell phone .

“I want to send a clear and stern warning to those involved in illegal drug activities, SPD is committed to eradicating drug-related crimes from our community, and we will relentlessly pursue individuals engaged in such illicit activities,” said SPD Director Brig. Gen. Mark Pespes.
