The Bulacan State University (BSU), the Department of Social Welfare and Development Office (DSWD), and the Department of Education (DepEd) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on “Tara, BASA!" tutoring program will help students, especially elementary learners, who have difficulties in reading.
"Sa pamamagitan ng pinagbuklod na lakas ng lahat ng mga ahensyang kasali sa proyektong ito ay maibababa natin sa ating mga kabataang Bulakenyo ang mga aklat at mga babasahin na magtataguyod sa pagbabasa bilang pangunahing kasanayan para masugpo ang kamangmangan" (Through the combined strength of all the agencies involved in this project, we will be able to provide Bulakenyo youths with books and materials that will promote reading as a key skill to combat illiteracy)," said Bulacan Vice Governor Alexis C. Castro on Tuesday, March 19, during the launching and ceremonial signing of "Tara, BASA!"
Castro said the “Tara, BASA!" tutoring program of the DSWD and DepEd aims to help students regain reading comprehension.
