There is slim chance of tropical cyclone developing in April — PAGASA
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Wednesday, March 20 said “zero to one” tropical cyclones may enter or form within the country’s area of responsibility (PAR) in April.

PAGASA-Climatology and Agrometeorology Division (CAD) Weather Specialist II Junie Ruiz said there is still a slim chance that a tropical cyclone will affect the archipelago next month.
“Maliit pa rin itong tyansa na magkaroon ng bagyo in April, but there is still a possibility ng zero or one, as what has the historical data saying (There is still a slim chance to have a tropical cyclone in April, but there is still a possibility of zero or one, as what has the historical data saying),” Ruiz said during the climate outlook forum.
He also noted that the El Niño phenomenon decreases the chance of having tropical cyclones during the dry season—particularly in March and April.
In April, PAGASA said there are four climatological tracks inside the PAR, which include: two tracks for non-landfalling tropical cyclones formed in Western Pacific that may enter PAR but recurve towards Japan; tropical cyclones formed in Western Pacific that may enter PAR then traverse Central Philippines before recurving towards Japan; and tropical cyclones formed in the Western Pacific that may enter PAR, traverse Central Philippines, and move to Vietnam.
