Assistant Majority Leader and La Union 1st district Rep. Francisco Paolo Ortega issued a “short and sweet” message to former Biliran lone district Rep. Glenn Chong.
“Kung paano mo tinatrato ang napakaganda, empowered, at saka mga mabubuting kababaihan, reflection yan kung paano mo tinatrato ang nanay mo,” he told Chong through a press conference Wednesday, March 20 at the House of Representatives.
(How you treat the beautiful, empowered, and good women is a reflection of how you treat your mother.)
A deadpan Ortega gave this remark when asked about the controversial statement of Chong against First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos.
It was during a recent pro-Apollo Quiboloy prayer rally last March 12 when Chong publicly threatened to slap the wife of President Marcos.
Chong is a lawyer by profession.
Several House members have come out to condemn Chong for his threat against the First Lady.
