The Parañaque City government launched the “2024 Parañaque City Festival of Talents” on Tuesday, March 19, at the Baclaran Elementary School Central gymnasium, to be participated by elementary and high school students from public schools.
Parañaque City Mayor Eric Olivarez said the elementary students will compete for drum and lyre performance, while the high school students will compete for the Baile sa Kalye, a modern/contemporary street dance competition.
Olivarez said the winners in the talent competitions will be the representatives of the city at the 2024 Regional Festival of Talents this coming April.

He told students that the city government will give its full support to all those who will be competing at the Regional Festival of Talents.
Aside from the mayor, Vice Mayor Joan Villafuerte, District 1 Congressman Edwin L. Olivarez, officers from Department of Education School Division Office of Parañaque City under Dr. Nerissa Losaria, Local School Board Head Rhodora Villar, and the Sngguniang Kabataan ng Barangay Baclaran headed by Chairperson Kate Mangahas attended the launching of the festival to show their support to the students who will join the competitions.
