BUTUAN CITY – The most wanted person in Surigao del Sur was apprehended on Friday, March 1, after six years of hiding in Taguig City.

Police Regional Office-13 Director Police Brig. Gen. Kirby John B. Kraft said Rol, 30, a resident of Marihatag, Surigao del Sur, arrested by the combined forces of the San Agustin Municipal Police Station, Surigao del Sur Provincial Intelligence Unit, Regional Intelligence Division-13, and Taguig City Police Station on JP Rizal Extension corner Lawton Ave., Northside, Taguig.
Kraft said the suspect’s warrant of arrest for two counts of rape was issued by the Regional Trial Court, 11th Judicial Region, Branch 28, Lianga, Surigao del Sur on November 7, 2022.
No bail was recommended for the suspect.
The suspect allegedly raped a 15-year-old student in 2018 and threatened to kill her if she would reveal her ordeal.
“This wanted individual believed he could evade justice by fleeing to the NCR,” Kraft said. “However, let me assure the general public that nobody can forever hide from the long arm of the law.”
