Korean star Park Hyung-Sik brought extra “kilig” to his Filipino fans when he visited recently for a fun and interactive fan meeting event at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Known for his hit Korean series Strong Woman Do Bong Soon, The Heirs, Happiness, and Doctor Slump, the star did not fail to delight his Filipino fans. Those present at the fan meet were treated to Hyung-Sik’s humor and charm. He even showed his musical prowess by serenading the crowd starting the fan meet with a heartwarming performance of Justin Bieber’s “Off My Face.” He also performed “Because of You,” from the original soundtrack of his well-known K-drama series Strong Woman Do Bong Soon. Other songs he performed during the momentous night were “Bud,” “Every Moment of You,” and a throwback performance of his group ZE:A’s “Breathe.”

One of the highlights of his visit for his fans was when he played “Guess the Filipino Word,” interacting with them with great enthusiasm. The star learned several Filipino words and phrases like buwaya (crocodile), labi (lips), gwapo (handsome), and sapatos (shoes). Fans also gushed over him learning to speak phrases like “kalma ka lang (calm down),” “naloloka ako sa ’yo (you’re driving me crazy),” “kering-keri (I can manage),” and the crowd’s favorite… “mahal kita (I love you).”
This was not Park Hyung-Sik’s first appearance in the Philippines. He previously visited in 2019.
