The University of Santo Tomas (UST) on Tuesday, March 19, announced its plans to permanently use both online and in-person learning setups to enhance the students' learning experience.

"Yes. We'll always be a combination of online and onsite," said Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Prof. Cheryl Peralta in an interview with The Flame, UST's official Arts publication.
Professor Peralta acknowledged that the setup is still under development but will allow UST to "maximize the potential of technology" in delivering instruction.
"We're still hybrid. Because, you know, if we're purely onsite, we won't be able to do that [maximize technology in delivering instructions] [We] acknowledged that it's not perfect. We have to find the areas for improvement," she said.
Due to this, she shared that they have had several meetings with the deans to understand what areas have to be addressed.
Moreover, it is said that the university is committed to finding ways to make the implementation more seamless.
