VIRAL: Queen of Bangsamoro pop Shaira makes waves on streaming platforms with 'Selos'

It's a rare and special occasion to witness a Moro singer like Shaira making waves on various streaming platforms.

Dubbed the Queen of Bangsamoro pop, Shaira's single 'Selos' (jealousy) has recently skyrocketed, capturing listeners' attention with its bouncy rhythm.

As of March 19, the song 'Selos' has already amassed a staggering 8.7 million views on YouTube, 1.4 million streams on Spotify and hundreds and thousands of views on TikTok. Some cover versions of the song have already hit millions.

Netizens said the melody of 'Selos' is similar to Lenka's "Trouble Is A Friend" released in 2008. In the YouTube disclaimer, it said: "The content presented here is a work of parody and should be viewed as such. This work is intended for entertainment purposes only and is not associated with the original creators or any entities affiliated with the original work."

Since her infectious song was uploaded in December 2023, Shaira promoted the song on social media. Just recently, she made the rounds of the streets of Mindanao  promoting her song as seen on social media sites.
