PRC acknowledged the support from the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) in keeping up the strength, wellness, and safety in communities through routine immunization, and COVID-19 prevention, management, and response.

“Through the Build Trust Project (BTP), PRC mobilized volunteers to support immunization intervention and boost confidence with vaccination,” IFRC said.

Moreover, from 2018 to 2023, the PRC said it collaborated with IFRC and other partners to forward supplemental immunization activities to combat measles and polio outbreaks.

With that, the PRC highlighted that it had accommodated more than one million children aged five years old suffering from measles, rubella, and polio.

In addition, the PRC has also contributed to the crisis and community resilience of the country by campaigning against Waterborne, Influenza, Leptospirosis, and Dengue (WILD) Diseases and by being the top and prompt responder, as well as leaders of relief operations in times of disasters.

IFRC together with PRC and other partners also offered “Bakuna Buses” during the pandemic to certain priority cities and provinces particularly those with “high-risk populations.”
